Chrysocolla silver oxidised pendant
How pretty is this Chrysocolla gemstone. I have made this pendant from Sterling silver , and then dipped it in sulphur to give it the old antique look.
Chrysocolla has been used by for thousands of years ,and the earliest fist known source was the mines of southern Israel. It was for a time called the King Solomon Stone after the famous ruler of Ancient Israel and legend has it that the earliest Chrysocolla came from the lost King Solomon’s Mines of Africa.
Today it is mined in Peru, Australia, Russia, America and Israel.
The pendant comes hung from a Sterling silver Belcher chain length 16/18 inches
